The Siddha Medicine is one of the oldest medical systems known to mankind. Siddha System is one of the ancient traditional systems of medicine in India. The term Siddha is derived from Siddhi , attainment of perfection or an achievement. The System of Siddha Medicine originated through the Siddhars, who were possessors of extra sensory knowledge and attainments.
There were 18 important siddhars in olden days and they developed this system of medicine. Hence, it is called Siddha Medicine. Siddhars are the great scientists of ancient days , mainly from Southern India laid foundation for this system of medication.
Siddhars were spiritual adepts who possessed the ashta siddhis, or the eight supernatural powers. Sage Agathiyar is considered the guru of all Sidhars. Agathiyar is the first Siddhar, and his disciples and other siddhars of other schools contributed thousands of texts on Siddha, including medicine, and form the propounders of the system in this world.
Although this system has declined in later years, in the wake of changing mode of life and modern medicine, it continues to sustain its influence on the masses because of its incomparable intrinsic merits. Siddha medicine can combat all types of diseases, especially the chronic diseases, which baffles and eludes even the modern sophisticated medicine.
According to siddhars "Nature is man and man is nature", therefore both are essentially one. The universe consists of two essential entities, matter and energy. The two co-exist and are inseparable.
Indigenous systems of medicine Siddha is accepted world wide as an alternative systems of medicine serving people because of their amicability in approach. Indigenous systems do not usually incur much expenditure on the tools of diagnosis but offer gunshot cure in case such as Gastric Ulcers and offer better management in life style disorders like diabetes. Now-a-days all the countries globally are looking into the usage of herbs and non pharmacological approaches like Yoga, Panchakarma etc.. in tackling health problems.

The Dorn Method takes its name from Dieter Dorn (born August 13th, 1938, died January 19th, 2011). He lived in the Allgau region of Bavaria, close to Memmingen, and ran a farm and saw mill, which he passed on to his son. In 1973 he was successfully treated for acute lower-back complaints by Vogtbauer Josef Muller, from a neighboring village. The old farmer’s tricks aroused his curiosity, so Dorn began to feel his way and treat people from the memory of this personal experience. This was the beginning of the development or rediscovery this Dorn therapy.
The spread of Dorn’s therapy as a gentle form of treatment for back and joint complaints continues to this day. Today it is known worldwide and is of course most widespread in its place of origin, southern Germany. Ever more doctors, naturopaths, physiotherapists, ergo-therapists, occupational therapists, midwives and medical massage therapists use the Dorn Method in their practices.

Today it is known worldwide and is of course most widespread in its place of origin, southern Germany. Ever more doctors, naturopaths, physiotherapists, ergo-therapists, occupational therapists, midwives and medical massage therapists use the Dorn Method in their practices.
Dorn method is based on the correction of uneven leg length, which, according to Dorn, can be diagnosed in almost every human. Because of that, the pelvis is said to become twisted, and this can supposedly result in an asymmetrical, crooked or displaced spinal column. The Dorn Method is a very gentle and effective treatment designed to correct misalignment of the spinal column and also of the joints. Uneven leg lengths are the first signs of misalignment – these signify a twisted pelvis and displacement of the sacrum, which can cause any number of potentially unpleasant or painful effects elsewhere in the body, even in seemingly unrelated areas. Once a specific misalignment occurs, normal daily activities can further exacerbate the imbalance, provoking further pain and discomfort, and sparking off a vicious circle.
Dorn Therapy tackles the very roots of a problem by looking for the signs of misalignment and imbalance and correcting them one by one. The legs, knees and ankles are checked and worked on first, followed by the pelvis, and then the lumbar, thoracic and cervical vertebrae. The jaw, shoulders, wrists and fingers are also treated. Misaligned joints are corrected through gentle movement alone, and once they have been realigned, pain and discomfort will be able to disappear. This is truly a whole body therapy with wide-ranging effects.

Dorn treatment can also be combined with a gentle spine-stretching and spine-relaxing Breuss massage.
Dorn uses a non-manipulative approach to correct such problems. Corrections of joint or spinal cord misalignments are done in a 'dynamic', moving action. According to Dorn, our muscles always try to hold the positions of the joints and spine, and when they are out of order the muscles assume this 'wrong' position as the correct one and hold it there. Dorn proponents maintain that a static correction, such as that used in chiropractic therapy, is difficult because it needs to overcome the strength of the holding muscles, and because the patient is often tense since the treatment is done 'on' him and not 'with' him.
Dorn method therefore uses motion to divert the muscles' tension, and in this relaxed state it is apparently possible to realign the bones.
During a treatment, the practitioner palpates the patient's spine. If any 'unbalanced' areas are found, possible underlying misalignments are treated with gentle pressure using the thumb or hand against the spinous processes, while the patient enacts guided movements such as swinging the leg or arms to distract the muscles' inertia; this is similar to the principle of mechanics known as 'counter pressure'.[1] In case of pain, the patient is advised to stop the procedure in order to avoid any damage to the body.
Patients often report positive results immediately after treatment. Afterwards, they learn specially designed self-help exercises that simulate the 'corrections' made during the treatment.

1. Firstly the therapist questions the patient precisely about when, where and how their complaints arose. Which methods of examination have been used thus far, and which diagnoses remain? They undertake the necessary tests to clarify the complaints. Contraindications are clarified.
2. Leg Length
Leg length is assessed and treated, in the case of difference, with every treatment, as equal leg length is important for the mid and long-term stability and load capacity of the spine. The pelvis rests on both legs and is the basis of the upright spine from the sacrum to the cervical spine. If this basis is horizontal the spine can usually be set straight and consequently has a more stable equilibrium. A Dorn treatment without treating the leg joints is incorrect, because the patient is supposed to get out of their bad posture and take care of this themselves. The patient can experience this with their own eyes and physical awareness and thus better understands the point of the self-treatment exercises. The hip, knee and ankle joints are treated on at least one leg.
3. Spine Assessment
Then the assessment and treatment of the spine from the sacrum and coccyx to the cervical spine is begun. During treatment the patient swings one leg to and fro.
4. Mid, Upper Thoracic Spine
Now the patient sits on a stool provided for the purpose and supports themselves in front, whilst the therapist assesses and treats the mid and upper thoracic spine. During treatment the patient swings two and fro with one or two arms.
5. Cervical Spine
The patient remains seated for the assessment and treatment of the cervical spine. During treatment the patient turns their head continuously to the right and left.
6. After these respective sections the therapist can ask the patient to perform the individual symptom-provoking movements, in order
to obtain feedback about the changes. Symptoms can sometimes also subside over the following days.
7. Depending on the original complaints of the patient, it can still be important to assess and treat dysfunctional/blocked joints in the
arms, legs, jaw or ribs after the treatment of the spine.
8. Finally the patient is given an instruction sheet with descriptions and illustrations of the exercises important for them. This has shown itself
to be helpful. This sheet includes, of course, the equalizing exercises for differences in leg length, but it also includes all other
self-treatment exercises. The specific self-treatment exercises are discussed and practiced according to assessment during the

Natural biological human clock
We Humans actually have an amazing biological clock ticking inside your body. It is very precise. It helps to regulate your various body functions.
Timings | Organ | Effect |
---|---|---|
3-5am | Lung | Blood circulation concentrates in your lung. Respiration. Oxygenation. You should exercise and breathe in fresh air. Take in good energy into your body. At this time air is very fresh with lots of beneficial negative ions. |
5-7am | Large Intestine | Blood circulation concentrates in your large intestine. Drinking water triggers bowel evacuation making room for the new day’s nutritional intake. Prepare your body to absorb more nutrients throughout the day. Removes toxins from the night’s cleansing. |
7-9am | Stomach | Stomach energies are the highest so eat the most important meal of the day here to optimize digestion/assimilation. Have your breakfast! Make sure you have all the required nutrients from your breakfast. Not having breakfast causes lots of health problems for you in the future. |
9-11am | Spleen | The stomach passes its contents on. Enzymes from the pancreas continue the digestive process. Carbohydrate energy made available. |
11am -1pm | Heart | Blood circulation concentrates in your Heart. Food materials enter the blood stream. The heart pumps nutrients throughout the system and takes its lipid requirements. |
1-3pm | Small Intestine | Foods requiring longer digestion times (proteins) complete their digestion/assimilation. |
3-5pm | Urinary Bladder | Metabolic wastes from morning’s nutrition intake clear, making room for the kidney’s filtration to come. |
5-7pm | Kidney | Filters blood, decides what to keep, what to throw away, maintains proper chemical balance of blood based on nutritional intake of day. Blood to deliver useable nutrients to all tissues. |
7-9pm | Pericardium | Nutrients are carried to groups of cells (capillaries) and to each individual cell (lymphatics.) |
9-11pm | Triple Warmer | The endocrine system adjusts the homeostasis of the body based on electrolyte and enzyme replenishment. |
11pm - 1am | Gall Bladder | Initial cleansing of all tissues, processes cholesterol, enhances brain function. |
1-3am | Liver | Cleansing of blood. Processing of wastes. This is an important time when your body undergoes detoxification process. Your liver neutralizes and breaks down body toxins accumulated throughout the day. |
