Sixth International conference on Acupuncture and Alternative Medicine 2013 , conducted by ATAMA (All Tamilnadu Acupuncture and Alternative Medical Association, Tamilnadu, India.) at Tirupur on 16th and 17th February 2013. More than 550 Doctors participated in the Conference. Delegates from other countries and states (Srilanka, Malasiya, Singapore, Karnataka, Andhra, Kerala, Mumbai) participated. State Bank of India arranged training programme on 19th April, 2013, in the State Bank Learning centre, at Nungambakkam , Chennai, for the Bank retiring officials and Staff Members. Dr.P.Sivagnanam delivered lecture and practical training about Health Tips and Acupressure Tips to maintain good health even after retirement . More than 50 officials and Staff members participated. Dr's practical training about acupressure tips was well appreciated by the participants. Zonal Conference, Chennai April, 7th 2013. All Tamilnadu Acupuncture & Alternative Medical Association (ATAMA), Zonal Conference conducted at Chennai, Tamilnadu, India on April, 7th 2013. Dr. P. Sivagnanam delivered a speech about a special topic "Eight Extra Ordinary Meridians & its Specialty". It was well appreciated by all Doctors. More than 100 Acupuncture Doctors participated in this Zonal Conference. Calm the mind. This is the highest acupuncture point on the body, and its name, “One Hundred Meetings,” . This point is pressed with combination of any other points the concerned disease will be cured immediately. Very important point. Location: This important point is located at the vertex of the head, on the midpoint of the line connecting the apexes of both ears. Press with your index finger for 30-45 seconds. Acupressure Point:-DU-20(GV-20) This acupressure point is known as Smile line. This point is indicated for the nasal and good for sinus issues associated with allergies, bleeding nose, facial pain. Pressing in 15 to 30 seconds will remove nasal blockages and will give relief. Location: Located on either side of the outside of the nose in the smile line. Acupressure Point: LI-20 This is excellent point for Sciatica and prevents gallstones and is used for swollen knees due to arthritis . Benefits the tendons and joints and reduce pain. Location: In a depression anterior and inferior to the head of the fibula. Acupressure Point: GB-34 This is the best point for hypertension, depression, insomnia, diabetes and painful breasts. By regularly pressing this point one can get rid of hypertension for good. Location: On the foot, on the line between the big toe and the second toe. The point is located about 3 finger widths from the edge, in the depression the size of a finger tip you can feel there. Move your finger in counterclockwise direction over this point. Acupressure Point: Liv-3 Loss of consciousness, good for insomnia, high blood pressure, headaches, and emotional agitation pain of the neck. This pressure point is an excellent point which act as acupressure point and reflexology point (Solar plexus point to breath). If any person become unconscious , immediately if we press this point he will get conscious. The solar plexus is the nerve center where stress is stored. When the solar plexus reflex point is pressed, it is as if all of the stress in the body is eliminated. This point can be easily stimulated by a tennis or golf ball. Location: The lowest point in the body, this point is located on the sole behind the ball of the foot in the depression formed when you clench your toes. Acupressure Point: K-1 |
